Jace at Grandma Val's

Jace has been at Grandma Val's during the day this week as he is recovering from a stomach flu and now baby Jet is sick and only wants his mommy. When we were swinging at the park yesterday, Jace said he wanted to dig in the sand but all the stuff was at home. Today Jace helped water the garden. Grandma promised to take him to the park to play on the swing and dig in the sand. He put his new bucket and shovel in the stroller, then climbed in and fell asleep!!

Gone Quilting

I was invited to join a quilting retreat at Yarrow near Chiliwack, BC May 5 to 9. 4 days and nights of quilting and sharing. We stayed at a Hazelgreen B & B where ALL our meals were provided. All we had to do sew, eat, and sleep!!!

Originally this group all lived at Holiday Park Resort; now only one gal still resides there.
but they all remembered Marg Balen from Drayton Valley who made big, big quilts and everytime she came she taught them something new. The gal in pink is Moyra who now lives in Powell River.
The gal in navy holding the green runner is Donella who is my hero for many reasons. At 80, she beautifully and very quickly stitched up two wall hangings before she made the runner. Brenda, in denim shirt, invited me when someone else had to cancel. A great week. I'll post my projects soon.
